We are a few weeks into our stay-home order and we’re all suffering through split ends, gray roots and grown out bangs. Some of us are hiding out in a top knots away from screens while others are forced into new normals of zoom meetings and client calls. For so many of us the salon is an oasis away from everyday stresses where we encourage you to unwind and indulge in self care; but during this unprecedented time we are all making sacrifices, especially when it comes to our beauty routines.
I’ve been using this time to practice gratitude and look for the silver lining in these situations. In the case of our hair, there are lots of opportunities to treat ourselves and our hair and scalp at home. In the salon we call this “preparing the canvas” when the hair and scalp are healthy it opens up lots of opportunities for color services, healthy curls and more.
